Hi, Can anyone help with a Kodak G600 Printer Dock? The driver works fine in 32-bit Win XP and Win 7, but not in Win 8.1. -- I've tried the 5.0.0.8 driver from the original EasyShare CD that came with the printer and which worked with older OSes. -- I've tried several newer drivers, including the latest I could find, 5.3.0.42 (from DriverScape.com.) -- I've tried the generic Kodak printer dock driver from Windows Update. -- I've also experimented with the driver isolation settings, but to no avail. Strangely, all of the drivers fail with different crashes or fatal errors in Win8.1.
** Has anyone found a Kodak G600 driver that works on Win 8 or 8.1? BTW- I've been told that Kodak never released a 64-bit driver for this. However I have had success installing the driver on a 32-bit Win XP virtual machine (VirtualBox) on a 64-bit host. I found a newer version of the Easyshare CD that include WHQL certified 32 and 64 bit print drivers. Easyshare 8.3 includes drivers of version 5.3.0.42 that were digitally signed on Jun 20, 2007. They seem to work fine on Win8.0/8.1 32 and 64 bit! IMPORTANT TIP: One thing that I found very odd is that I cannot successfully grab the driver files from one PC and install them via the Add Printer Wizard on another PC.
The driver installs, but it crashes when I try to print. BUT if I run the Easyshare installer and let it install the printer, then it works (you can select custom install, and select just the print driver if you wish.) So my best advise is to find someone that has purchased a Kodak camera or printer within the last few years and borrow their Kodak Easyshare CD.
(The software is free, you just need to find a copy.) And don't bother with any installer you might find on the web that is only a couple megabytes - those are web installers and fail because Kodak took the files down years ago. If you find an.ISO for the full installer, it will be more than 200 MB. Thanks again for the suggestions. Hi, Thanks for posting here.
I agree with others, they have provided the right suggestions to the current issue. Since the product was discontinued and Windows 8 and later version is not included in the official operating system compatibility provided by Kodak, maybe we could not install it in Windows 8 directly. As cguan suggested, load an earlier OS version supported by this product on a virtual machine is a good choice.

Here's a bit more info. The G600 driver comes packaged with Kodak EasyShare which installs both the driver and supporting SW.
I see that Kodak released a much newer version of EasyShare which could possibly have a newer driver. 8. Program Bimbingan Dan Konseling Smart. 3 seems to be the last version. The problem is that I can only find the little web-based installer version of EasyShare 8.3, and Kodak long ago removed the underlying files from the web (perhaps related to their bankruptcy).
So, I'm wondering if someone has the CD-ROM version (or a.ISO) for EasyShare 8.3 and has gotten that driver to work on Win8/8.1? Hi, Thanks for posting here.
